Help with adjusting a pattern
I have a pattern for baby booties that uses fingering yarn. I want to do it in Size #10 thread yarn. I have tried changing needle size but that didn't work. If anyone has any suggestions that I can try. There is a gauge listed on the pattern, it says 10 DLB = 1 inch.
When I used #10 size thread and followed the directions, the baby would have to have a foot almost 6" for the booties to fit. I need it to be no more than 3 inched finished.

You may have to go to a smaller thread size like maybe 20
