I had my Medicare card at 55. I felt older then than I do now. I was on SSI. Of course, now I have my medicine tweaked just right, and I haven't worked since 2002. But I don't feel 65. I feel like our kids just graduated high school. I'm not old. They are. They say they are anyway. That's what working does to you. It ages you before your time. I remember that feeling.

Well at 27,534 days old today (Saturday), I may not be the oldest in the group, so how about my trying for the oldest male of the group? I'll be 75 1/2 on April 27th. BTW I have an Excel spreadsheet that computes my age in days.

My father lived to be 97 and my mother, 103. A sister lived to 92 and I have a brother 95 who still plays golf, weather permitting and goes dancing at the Seniors Hall every week. While I mostly sit, with my oxygen and crochet or get lost for hous on the computer. Grandma Patty

We have a very active senior center here you can join for nominal fee per year and hey sell crafts people make to make money for the center. I made a beautiful cloche hat once and people made fun of it. (church people and hubby) Wish i had that pattern still I loved it and I don't like the current one on line they look like mens hats they are more linear than fluid.
