I won't say it's easy, but I lined a bag with felt. I just cut a rectangle and sewed it to the bag at each end. Then, I tacked the sides. Good luck!

To line a purse, I just make a sort of pocket that fits in the purse, turn down the top. and sew it with a small whipstitch around the top! I use regular sewing thread and small stitches!

I have had problems with things catching on the tulle and snagging when I've used it under dresses, so I might personally tend to stay away from it for a lining of a purse. I tend to use scraps of whatever I have on hand. For a cotton yarn bag I made, I used plain muslin scraps. It's cheap, and I always have lots on hand for quilting. If the lining doesn't show, and you don't care about it looking perfect, since it's on the inside, you can even piece the fabric to make a section big enough to make the pocket. But I'm a cheapskate!

This might sound silly, but I used a fancy cloth napkin, you know the ones that you can buy with the matching place mat for your table setting, and it worked just fine.

I love doing filet crochet. I made my brother a deer with trees and bushes. Maybe I can get a pic from him. I seen this new pattern for filet meets granny, I want to check that out.

Have you used that iron on tap stuff? It makes the edges hard maybe that would be easier than sewing....Just dawned on me.

Try using a #7 steel crochet hook and crochet through fabric like you would around a receiving blanket or the top of a kitchen towel, through both the crocheted article and the material. I think it would work, try a thin yarn or crochet thread. Caro
