    ending pattern

I have a problem. When I finish a crochet piece. It says, fasten off and weave in the ends. When I weave the ends in. They come back out. when washed. Help!

Mash52 If you look at the different threads you will see we have all discussed this alot. I leave a long enough tail that I can lay it on top of the last row and crochet it in as I go. It sure makes life easer for me. As I'v said Im lazy and attention defeset (does spelling count?) thats why I don't do granny anything. I know Id find something I want to do and never go back to sew them together. LOL But everyone has there own way. So good luck.
    Best stiches,
    Billie

mash52, try using a yarn needle with a 12 inch or so tail. Sew mimicing the stitches one way for a couple of inches and then reverse the diection for a couple of inches. Works for me. Good Luck, Caro

Yes, when I cut the yarn off after I have finished my crocheting piece. How long does the tail need to be.

At least long enough to go through the eye of the needle and give you room to work, I ususally do 12 inches or so.

I cut a long tail when I am near the end and then pick it up along with the feed line of the yarn so the stitches end up a little thicker at the end but the tail is crocheted right into the work and has never come loose on me.
