Lace Weight Yarns Questions
Hi. I was wondering if you knitters can help me understand lace weight and yarn weights.
Is lace weight include label 1 super fine , sock weight , super fine label 2 and fingering weight for making shawls?
I am really confused on lace weight and different yarn weight number labels and the yarn weight coversion in different countries like Canada.
What do you think?

Different manufacturers tend to sometimes have different standards for what constitutes "lace weight" or "superfine", "worsted weight", DK weight, etc. etc.

So true, MeToo! I've bought a yarn from Herrschners, Sweetie Pie, that claims to be a DK weight. I like the yarn, but it really is a sport weight. Most of the time it's just best to work with one brand yarn per project (unless otherwise stated in the pattern), because trying to match up weights between brands is almost impossible!
