The one in Reims, I am told, is very much the same.

There are several Cathedrals around the Paris area all are very big. The Reims Cathedral is taller and has a very high Nave. It was started in 1211 and opened by 1275.
Notre Dame de Paris was started in 1160 and completed in 1260.
There was a TV film (The Pillars of the Earth With Eddie Redman) about the building of the Basilica of St Denis. It was a very good film if you see how they had to make those large cathedrals it is amazing. All statutes made by hand no machine these were the masons creating such beauty.
You pass that Church each time you go to the airport CDG. All of these churches are beautiful. Such a foolish accident to destroy what the 2 wars and time could not. It is heart breaking to see.
