Sole for crocheted slippers - need your ADVICE
Hi. I have some oldish crocheted slippers my late mother made. Before the bottoms wear out, I would like to place some sort of leatherette (not real leather) soles so they don't develop holes, as home-made slippers usually do, in short order.
So, my question is: what do you call this stuff from which you cut out soles? Where do you get it? I don't know where to start looking as I do not know how it's referred to. Also, do you know if it comes with glue on one side so you can just stick it on to the bottom of the slippers instead of having to sew it on?
Many thanks. - MeToo.

Could you use flip flop soles or the grey wooly insoles for boots? Both can be found at dollar stores.

Hi metoo! I checked my favorite place for finding everything-Google. Looks like there are many sites that sell slipper soles. Just type in “soles for slippers “ and you will see many options. Good Luck! imalefty

Spoula, that is brilliant! I just love dollar stores, so many great ideas from such inexpensive items.

I am going to see if our $ stores here have slippers for a couple of buck next time I go into town.

Hello MeToo. When I watched the video I actually cringed when the lady cut the nice blue slippers off the soles. I like the dollar store slippers better. Ha. Maybe they have other choices for soles there if you can find a store in your area that you can choose from.

I know. It bothers me, too, when someone deliberately ruins a nice product. Any kind of product.
