This would make a good cushion for the thumb

I just crocheted a antler for the reindeer hat I'm making. It fits over my thumb nicely although I would want it to be a bit longer. I noticed that when I crochet my hand stays in the same place but my thumb moves back and forth. I am right handed and I hold my hand on top of the hook. The hat I'm making is in the book 'Ho Ho Celebrations' by Loops and Threads.

Thanks Spoula. I have a leather thimble that I had to cut and then tape to fit my thumb.

I haven't quite finished the reindeer hat but been making snowmen fridgies. Although I didn't put the magnetic strip on the back of the snowman yet. I need to put the eyes and buttons on the 1 snowman I have done.
