My favorite stitch is also very easy, but pretty. I am not sure of the technical name as it came in a pattern leaflet some 40 years ago. Simply, it is one row of single crochet, followed by one row of sc, tr, sc ending with a sc. Repeat these two rows rows ending with a sc row. This gives a bobble look, but without the hard bumps. It makes a beautiful afghan, scarf or baby blanket, but does take more yarn than you'd expect. Works well with any size yarn and appropriate hook, and produces a nice soft final product.

I have two favorite stitches: the half double crochet and the lemon peel stitch.

Don't know if this qualifies; but my favourite stitch is a tunisian crochet stitch called the Tunisian cross stitch - because it's very very pretty. Another favourite is the Tunisian Simple Stitch - mostly because it is so soothing to do. I like all regular crochet stitches equally.
