Making your own wooden crochet hook?
Does anyone know how to make a wooden crochet hook. My fiance wants to make me one but he wants to make sure its perfect. Any tips on the type of wood ect.

I'd suggest that you start with a wooden dowel that's about the size of the hook that you want. A hard wood such as maple or oak will stand up to the rigours of crocheting much better than a soft wood will.

I have a little tip too; my hubby makes mine out of the knitting needles....when I have a 50% off coupon I buy the wooden kitting needles and my hubby makes me crochet hooks out of those. (plus there comes two in a pack so if one gets a little off wack there is always another one to try again w/)
