    Hooks some in a variety of sizes and styles. Some are metal, some are wood and some are plastic. Its all a matter of what you get used to using.

    Susan Bates, as far as I know they are the only ones who make inline hooks. I just can't seem to crochet with the others.

    I like Susan Bates Quicksilver aluminum hooks best I have a few boye and I hate using them they seem to snag my yarn too much. I also have one wooden one(my all time fav actually) made by Jimbo from Jimbo's Front Porch

    I really like the Susan Bates hooks. There's just something about the different shape of the hook that I like better. Seems like it go into the yarn easier. I prefer the aluminum hooks. I've tried the bamboo, and I like them for knitting, but they don't seem to be smooth enough for crochet.
