Really Clover Soft touch has a flat grip, but Clover amour has a round grip with the flat place for finger.
Here is Hamanaka https://www.amazon.com/Hamanaka-H250...=hamanaka+hook
but my hooks are thin.
and The Knit pro
https://www.amazon.com/KnitPro-Waves...=Knit+pro+hook
But again I use 0.75 mm hook
I made the review long ago about my hooksɹǝʞɐɯ ʎןıop ɐsıɹɐן

Kl1000, where might I find your hook reviews? Inasmsuch as you have 10,000 comments here, I don't know where to start looking.

Thanks for that, kl. I had fun trying to read it out loud, as I read Ukrainian and know the Russian letters, also. They may look the same but aren't always pronounced the same. Most of your reviews, being technical, were too much for me, so I did go to google translate. I enjoyed reading this. The "creaking" Knit Pro made me laugh.
Hope your latest project is coming along nicely - which I am sure it is.

Ok so this statement has me curious as if I should try a swing hook! I've seen them in the stores and passed them over for the style. I do prefer "tapered" for sure.
I'm a knife holder and I find I do have some issues with a smaller hook with my hold.
One of my go to projects is to crochet a border with thread around a flannel yard square to make baby blankets. For this project use a small hook.
Thanks,
Susan

These are the ones I have been placing on my thin steel hooks:
Susan Bates Comfort Cushion for Crochet Hook, Fits Up to Size G
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00097CMEG
They are available not only on Amazon but quite a few other stores that sell crochet & knitting supplies have them.

I see that Susan Bates has an apparently new and improved version, though, as follows:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Susan-Bat...-Pkg/469504040
This has good reviews. It looks totally different from the blue ones that I use.
So, those are my recommendations. Hope you can find something suitable. Me, I simply can't crochet with a thin steel hook unless I have some kind of padding.Last edited by MeToo!; 09-14-2018 at 01:58 PM.

I love my Addi G hook. I use it constantly. I also have Clover, Tulip, and generic padded hooks due to my Rheumatoid Arthritis, bit the Addi is my "Go To" hook. Tulip is my 2nd favorite.
