    Hmm. Thanks Lili. Its interesting that the pattern is like this. I am not skilled enough to figure out the solution. I really appreciate you giving it a try .

    I figured it out. When you decrease (DC 2 tog) you are only decreasing by 4 in the 'valleys' but since you are doing 5 puff stitches for each 'peak' you are adding 5. Therefore you are gaining 1 for each of the four renditions of the 24-stitch pattern across, giving you 4 extra stitches. Try not doing the ch1 after the fifth puff stitch in each peak and see what that does for you.
