Fallen arrows c2c blanket by left in knots

I am working on this blanket BUT I am using a worsted weight softer yarn and a 5mm hook. The pattern calls for charisma bulky yarn and 6.5 hook.
I have also changed it from hdc to dc for a bit more height.
I would ultimately like the finished blanket to be the same size as the pattern indicates 45x55.
How can I achieve this and keep the arrows symmetrical etc.?

I think the simplest way is to follow the pattern as it is written and add extra height/width by adding a border. I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but since I've never made this blanket myself I can't give you any further advise. Good luck!

you might have to do a few extra stitches and rows to achieve the measurements.Hope this would be helpful.

I suggest you make a practice swatch with the worsted yarn and 5mm hook using the double crochet. Count how many chains are in each repeat of the pattern so you can extend your foundation chain to the correct length. Measure the height of your swatch (crochet at least 3-4 repeats and 3-4 rows) to determine how many rows you will need to complete your blanket.
