    Am I doing this properly?

Greetings! I'm new here. I want to enter this afghan in the county Fair, which I have never done, so I want it to be "perfect." This is the first time I have crocheted something where the different colors are "carried" vs fastening off. The right side looks great, but is this okay for the wrong side? (See especially the top left portion.) Thank you!

I think it is fine but others are more experienced that I am. If this is the "wrong" side, I think it looks nice.
    Good luck at the fair.

I don't think it looks so bad, but I think you are pulling your work to tight. See how the whole thing is rippled and the right side is not straight, the left side is ok . Best of luck to you.

The block looks nice. Have you blocked it yet? That really makes a difference.
