Counting rows
I have started a new project and want to make sure I am counting rows correctly. This is a half double crochet in the back loop. I count 12 rows which includes the first row of half double crochet through the row of chains. Am I right?

Take a look at this for half double crochet counting rows. There are different ways to count rows, so thought this would be helpful for you.

I did see that on Youtube but with the crocheting in to the back row it made it more difficult for me.

Do you think I have 12 rows?

Hi Nancy,
I would count the row that you crochet in the chain stitches. It looks like 12 rows plus slip stitches between the rows.
