    Hard Crochet

Hi I'm making crochet masks for Halloween. Wondering if anyone has any tips on how to do "hard crochet" or what types of yarn are stiff enough to have masks that don't bend or twist, or are droopy?

Do you mean like chunky, or even R.H. super Saver or some other stiffer worsted weight? Chunky is a good thing to use since it holds tight in place, and some Super Saver does too, depending on what you're making. Jute holds place but is too rough, nylon might work , it shouldn't hurt the kids's faces. I can't think of anything else right off...
