I love Tigger! This is so beautiful and I am sure your new Nephew will love it! Where did you get the pattern or did you design it yourself?

It is a pattern called Indian Blanket from Annies Attic. It is downloadable from her site. The zig zag stripe involves a lot of fair isle technique because you have to carry all the colors across and use as the graph indicates. The rest of it is pretty easy to work up. Single crochet stitch throughout.

The fair isle technique can be done with crochet as well. It is a bit difficult because you have to carry the different colors of yarn across your work. You Tube has a good tutorial on how to do fair isle crochet.

I am a newbie....looking through all the pictures and I am overwhelmed by the talented people in this forum. My grandmother taught me to crochet and always helped me with written patterns bc most confuse me. I have made lots of stuff but enjoy working on blankets.....kinda just start and see what I feel like doing. I am working on a huge chevron which is my first chevron journey....if I could follow patterns I might be good.......I am awed by that Indian blanket......

    Hi Mitzee,
My mother started me crocheting when I was 5 years old. I still enjoy crocheting new patterns. If you've got patience, you could do the Indian blanket pattern for sure. BTW I love the Chevron pattern. My mother made me an afghan when I was a teenager and I still love it!
