Get that piece out and enjoy it. Don't give those jerks the power to discourage you. I'm an old woman now and it has taken me a life time to realize that being made fun or criticized on something I have done or created is their way of bring me down to their level. They knew they neither had the patience or talent to create the horse and the moon in thread or even paint a picture and their best way to discredit your talent was to belittle it. Oh, yes, and part of it may be because you are female and of course that made the creation less important. It may not have been intentional on their part but it is a part of many men seeing anything a woman does that is creative as a waste of time. I'm looking forward to seeing this piece. A lot of time, thought, and work has gone into it. Enter it into the county fair and maybe it will go on to state and publish the pattern and make money off it. Have the last laugh on those immature cowboys.

Thanks Cliffene's; I am not looking for sympathy, my mom is my worst critict so I'm used to it. I enjoy crocheting a lot so I will just keep chain going. Hugs though for you warm kind words.

Thanks all; I did that over my first summer in CO. My Hubby really loves that piece, recently I tried to put it up for sale and he was like, nope I call dibbes. LOL
