trying to figure out a pattern

    Hello,
I am trying to figure out how to get the look of the rows alternating up and down. From looking at this picture it looks like it's triple and double stitching but when I try that my rows are just flat. Hopefully this question makes since. Also would be nice to know what this look is called. Thanks

It looks like they may be doing some rows in the front loops only, making them "stand up."

Thanks. . Didn't think of that idea. I'll have to look up how to do that.

I'm not sure but to me it looks like a double or triple crochet in back loop only.

Crocheting in the back loop only will create a ridge like that on the rows you want.

This did help thank you. The only problem I have with this is that it creates a ruffle, step like look. Which is Helpful to know for future things., but I can't get the row to go back up to the original highs to make the up and down look. :/

It could also be a front or a back post double crochet.
