    French pattern terms

    Help! Is it possible that a pattern in a French magazine would be written like a British pattern so that when they are talking about a treble in French it would be a double in the US?

    Good question, Freatherfarm. I never had a French pattern to think of this until you asked. Sometimes you can tell from a close up photo what stitches were used. However.. also wondering now and not seeing a picture, I went on the hunt and found this chart. I hope it helps. Mary
