Help, what does it mean to sew 2 crochet pieces together?

Hi Sep335, it is just like the other ladies said, though I like to put the 2 pieces together, making sure that the stitches line up and join by slip stitching them together - not too tight though.

for sewing together crochet pieces you may want to check out the tutorials by googling "How to sew crochet squares together" it will give you several different methods of connecting the two pieces together.

I will quite often leave a long tail of yarn when I finish off a piece that I know will be attached to another. I use that piece of yarn to sew up the seams!

The mattress stitch is a good idea as it is neat and has give. You can sometimes crochet it together with a slip stitch, or sew it with a back stitch.
