    Baby blanket ideas

My niece is having a baby girl in March. I'm making a blanket, dress, sweater, booties & a beanie. She loves blue and did the nursery in baby blue and would like a baby blue blanket that is girly. Does anyone have a very feminine (not too difficult) pattern?

    Debbie,

I love this baby blanket! I haven't made one, yet, for my "future" grand-babies. The pattern looks simple and is so beautiful. It's reversible, too. You could make it using the colors of her baby nursery.

What a beautiful blanket! I would definately make this one! I make a lot of baby blankets and afghans but never one that was reverseable.

One of my all-time favorites is the "Cable Hearts Baby Afghan" which is published at www.yarncrazy.com copyright 2009 Chris Simon. I have made it in so many variations. Everyone loves it and it is much much easier to make than it looks.

Thanks for the info on Mary Maxim.com. I didn't realize they had a free pattern site and I just signed up for their free newsletters. I am always looking for new and different patterns.
