Convert a crochet chart into a written pattern
Hi Everyone, I'm back
I am gearing up for the cold long months ahead, and have been busy creating a folder of all the items I would like to make this fall and winter. My daughters and relatives have given me there wish list. However, with this being said I must admit I am not very good at reading crochet charts. I did find some good sites for how to read schematics or patterns. Right now a cousin of mine requested that she would like a hat for her grandchild, and I have the schematics and was wandering if anyone could help me I really would like to have the written pattern for this. I would be so grateful, and if I can help with something just let me know.

I don't know if it will be any help to you, but here in Kansas we have book stores called ( half Price Book Store) and they have all sorts of books on about any hobby your interested in for next to nothing. I myself was unaware that crochet had patterns like the one you requested help deciphering until I bought several self help books from this store. And the best thing about it - is I only spent $30.00s for the 7 books I purchased. It was well worth the money. I don't know if this was any help, but seriously -check this store out. You might find it very helpful while you learn how to decipher new patterns.

Thanks! I did find a book online called "Basic International Crochet Symbols & How to follow a Crochet Schematic Chart." I definitely will be investing more into crocheting.

Oh, thank you, Carla584167 ! The charts drive me nuts. Can decipher most symbols, but I need step by step in words!

If no one has by tomorrow, I will try to write out a pattern for it. It is 3am here though, so I can't do it tonight.

I am working out the pattern from the written pattern and realized that I messed up rounds 6-13, 6 is a different pattern set than 7-13. 7-13 you will be skipping the last dc before each ch 2 space, and round 6 starts that sequence by giving the correct number of stitches between each ch 2 space. Sorry about that. It is fixed now though and I am half done with this pattern now, and I will post a picture soon in the same post as the written pattern that I did.

I have found a pattern for a daisy filet crochet throw. Part of the pattern is written but the majority is in graph form. I can not read a graph no matter how simple. I have to have written instructions. Is there a program anyone is aware of that can translate? Or would someone here be willing to translate to written pattern for me? I can get to row 5 before I have to give up.... I had planned to make this along with my niece who passed away 2 years ago in child birth.. it's something I want to do.. for both of us now..
Thanks for any help you can give.
this is the pattern... looks simple enough but my brain can not.. will not ... figure it out past row 4.. lol

Great job at written instructions. You are awesome.
Is round 2 chain 4 or chain 3 like the rest of the pattern?
