Larissa, you are still here and making your wonderful doilies!! I bet you have made a whole lot of doilies since we last talked. How are things in your part of the world?

When I was ten years old my grandmother taught me to crochet using a size 14 steel hook. I made so many dollies. Now? I much prefer yarn to thread. There's so many more choices with yarn.

I like to make baby booties with thread for gifts. They come out so dainty and pretty! I've sold quite a few of them as well but haven't made any in quite some time. However, I love to crochet with yarn because it's easier on my arthritic hands an it goes much faster. My goal is to make some summer tops and vests with thread.

I learned to crochet from my mother. She started me with #10 thread and I made a few doilies. Later I learned to crochet with yarn. I like both and it depends on what I am making. I posted a baby dress and hat on this forum with thread and some crochet items with yarn.

I have never used thread for such items but would sure love to be able to find such patterns. Can you point me in the right direction?

I don't have any patterns... I'm just going to plan it as I go. But you might check red heart or lion brand free patterns

I like to take stuffies and make them in thread. They come out about 1/2 the size of the regular pattern. They are great for little hands.

@Dinah. Thanks for mentioning Red Heart. I can't believe how many patterns they have and already I've seen one I'd like to do down the line!
