Sorry to hear your problems. My sister has fb too. I am glad you have the Lord in your life that is the only way we can make it through this world. The next will be so awesome. That's what I am looking forward too. Thank God --He made that possible for us. My 21 year old daughter died(leukiema) in 1995 early Jan. My mom passed late in Jan.1995 and dad went home march 1995 a week before his eightieth birthday. My husband has lung cancer that spread throught out his body from 2nd hand smoke. You are an awesome lady and thank you for mentioning how the Holy Spirit comforts you. It is so nice to hear how many members rely on the Lord. I didn't mean to come off as a whiner --It just helps to tell each other our story--your new aren't you? I am so thankful for crocheting and love to read --it makes it easier when your sitting in the hospital or doctor's office. At home just to relax. God Bless and keep you. I will pray.

Your post was sad but encouraging Susie Ann, it sounds like you've had more than your share of grief. It is great that so many of us are Christians, god for sure brings His children together to be there for each other! He said He would take care of us, and He does. I look forward too to the day the trump blows and we see and hear Jesus in the clouds coming for us. I have learned god's Word so won't be deceived when the evil beast comes trying to fool everyone, and he will fool many. Thank God He is there when you seek him, He always tells the truth and never fails us.

Crochet has brought so much joy into my life in so many ways! I used to read like a reading maniac, lol, but I haven't picked up a book since last Oct when I began to crochet! I NEVER thought I'd see that day! But my mind was wandering when I read and I knew i needed more to focus more deeply on, and the way crochet came into my life was God sent. No doubt! I tell about it in one of my blog posts. I hope you'll go there and read it, I want others to let me add their work and links and life to my blogs, I'll have them email it it me and then post it as I can into each blog release.

Thx for the nice comment! Talk to you soon I hope!

I love the passage in John it is chapter 10 or 11 it talks about Jesus as our shepherd and than it goes on to say that once we are his --no one is able to pluck us out of His hand and the Father who is greater- that no one can pluck us out of the Father's hand. Isn't it wonderful how Jesus reassures once we turn to Him we are safe. I don't mean we shouldn't pray or read His Word. Get lazy--we still do our part letting the Lord work through us and spend personal time with God.

Susan, I am so sorry that you are in so much pain. I will be praying for you. I pray that the knee surgery will go well and at some point your knee pain will be gone. I feel that you know God is with you and will never leave you. Ginny

Susan, I'm so sorry to hear of your health issues - makes mine seem mundane. My friend had a knee replacement & the only advice I can share with you is that the exercises they have you do after surgery is very important. She said it's painful but just a necessity. And falling on the knee would be quite painful since all that's there now is metal.
Stay sweet & best of luck to you.

I read these posts and also feel I could have it worse. I am 48 and have been on disability for ten years way too many problems to list. However I do see pain management specialist and that helps me cope, without him I don't know where I'd be today. I have an internal pain pump that releases pain meds into my body at a slow and continuous pace then an internal spinal cord stimulator that constantly sends sort of like an electric jolt thru my body 24/7 to help with pain. I think anyone who suffers from chronic pain should see a pain management doctor. Best of luck with the knee replacement Susan and Patty I hope all goes well with you as,well.

Hey sweetie! Life doesn't sound too good for u lately, but I'd love to tell u about my 2 knee replacements. it was the very best thing I ever did to help myself. It's not a hard surgery and they get ya up walking day 1 but be careful about the pain and stay in an extra day to make sure it's under control. By the way I just turned 61 last week. i had one knee done last yr and the other 2 yr ago. Awesome. now all I have to do is stopmtripping on things and get my wrists healed and maybe I will be alright. I broke my left wrist june3 and the right wrist on July 27 4 days after getting the cast off the first and then packing all my belongings and moving back to the Detroit area. I had surg on my right wrist. GOD BLESS YOU SWEETIE!!! Love ya, Betty Lynn

Hi everyone, hope all is well with you all!

I want to thank you all again for being so caring and kind. The prayers and advice are both well received, I assure you all. The dr. wants to replace one knee now and then the other soon after. Odd thing is that even though all of my other arthritis hurts terribly, I've never had any knee pain until my right leg freaked out on me that day out of the blue! I may get a 2nd opinion, but this is the best orthopedic group in the upstate area and we have a lot of good medical choices here, so that really means something for their reputation. They're affiliated with one of the best hospitals too.

So...the main thing that concerns me, well two things, is that the chronic pain I've lived with for so long is awful, and I am in pain management for that, but I don't heal well or fast. So I know the physical therapy, which I already get tons of, is going to be hard to do, very painful and important to do right, and probably won't help me as much as it would other people. Neither will normal pain meds, but I talked to p.m. dr today about that.

The other thing that concerns me is I keep having the swelling and retaining fluid in my feet and ankles, and no one can tell me why yet. The family dr. told me to increase the fluid pills from 1 to 2-3, but the cardio dr. said no, to only take one or it can damage my kidneys long term. I don't want to have surgery with that going on unchecked. I'll let yall know what the surgeon says Sept 8th.

Ok, here are a couple of crochet pieces to show you, one is a WIP in the pic but is now finished, the brownish/reddish pic that is to be a fingerless glove (my 2nd pair this year, I posted my blue & white ones in here a few weeks ago), so this was glove #1 of the new pair and I'm on glove #2 now. The laptop takes pretty bad pics of crochet since you have to hold things up to it and let them hang there, or your arm might show and you have to crop the pics, it's just not like setting something on a table and taking a photo. My husband uses the laptop so much I have to make him get off for me to take a few pics! He earns $$ online so what can I say?! Well, the 'wristers' have the brown ribbed-look from doing all back loops only. I was amazed to see that beautiful pattern emerging from that stitch! I'm going to make a scarf with that stitch next.

The other pic is my hat I made over the weekend, the butterfly stitch in my favorite colors. I had to "frog" it due to making too many increase rows in the crown after I'd worked on it for 2 nights, but then I took 2 rows out and re-did it in 1 night! It fits perfectly now, my standard 22" head diameter, lol, so it was worth 'frogging' for sure (that word sounds so funny)! That was the 1st cap I've made, although I did make the little girl's floppy sun hat before this cap.

I made some flowers too, but no pics of them...I'm still working on that Lover's Knot wrap and baby blanket, am ready to finish those two things up and be done with them! Yall take care, I'm off to work on my 2nd glove. No more cold frozen fingers this year when winter hits! Crochet really is my therapy, what would I DO if I didn't have it to do?!

Yall take care and I'll stop back by soon, love susan

I tried 2X to load pics, will they work this time? Here I go.....yaaayyyyyy - they worked!
