Magic Circle
The magic circle or ring is a different way to begin crocheting in the round. It is really super for granny squares and amigurumi (small crocheted animals, creatures). It is adjustable and eliminates the "big" hole in the center of the start of anything done in the round. There are many directions for it on Google. You could also see it on YouTube I would think. Give it a try-would enjoy knowing how you like it!

QUOTE=3catlady;135182]Where did you learn this? I keep hearing about the magic circle. The Russian Join, I will go on youtube to find that one. Just finished an lapghan that has the knots in it. This is about the 15 one since September that I have completed and 14 given to charity. The other one was an afghan for my grandson. Plus two teddy bears and now an owl that is cute as can be! My hands ache but keep pressing one!!![/QUOTE]

Ruditude, do you know where Turkey Bottom is between Yoakum and Shiner? I have a brother in law and all his family live on a farm out there. And I am in New Braunfels. Just wanted to say Hi, neighbor. Margaret.

BarbySue, I was excited over this one too, although it took me a while to get the hang of how to do it!
I had to show my hubby something the other day too.. its the "no turning chain double crochet". Like you, now that I know how to do that one, I will never go back
