I wonder if the yarn gets wet... if it smells like a wet dog?

I do not know! I didnt mean my comment as an insult. I just thought of all the work of spinning dog fur into yarn... working the yarn into a project... ant then what happens if after all that work and energy/expense, the project could smell like a wet dog if it gets wet. It was a question that crossed my mind, and thought it was quite valid. By the way, I have seen projects made of cat fur, and they were lovely.

This sounds a little creepy to me. But I guess a dog is an animal, just like sheep.
I don't think I would ever try this though.

Dog hair
When I was a young girl a friend of my moms saved all of her dogs hair and used it to knit with. She and her hubby raised sled dogs so she had a lot of hair. He was a musher and she maid his hats gloves and socks. Thats about all I remember except he always smelled like a wet dog.
