Hello,
Do you want to exchange with just one person for this first time? I copied your info and placed it in my file for the exchanges. When personal information is posted online, anyone can see it including people who try to steal people's identities. Please let me know on the exchange if you just want to do one person for this first time. We do monthly sign up threads and I usually place partners together on a monthly basis.

Rose,
Jackie said she will send you out a square in the above replies. And, Winnie2013 said she received a private message from you requesting to trade. So, are you wanting to do more than one person? Also, please let me know and I will place you with exchange partners in the future. Thank you.

Hi Barbara,
On page 1 of this thread, you have a pattern for 'easy granny square instructions'. If you click on this pattern it tells you each step what to do. Step 6 says to chain - how many chains?

Hi jean marie. About ch - how many Id say 2 just as you see in instructions befor & after I saw ch-2. You are a real Busy crocheter, lots o energy. Have you made Prayer Shawls. They are easy & pretty quick. Hope this helped. Susan2014

Thanks Susan2014,
I'll try that but I started a 6 inch square w/a cross in the middle of it. the pattern says to ch 24 which is longer than 6 inches. I just counted the row and I have 20 stitches. I thought I chained 18 or 19. I also did a 6 inch round which I stretched into a square.
Jean
No, I haven't made any prayer shawls.

Hi,
I just finished it. When continuing the square I forgot to put a sl st in so I just continued each round without a sl st until it was a 6 inch square.

I was thinking for a 6 inch square to crochet a square and then put a stencil over it and using a fabric marker stencil the picture on the square and then embroider on the lines that you stenciled and you have a picture on your square. You think that would work?
Also, about the granny square, which I already did, was I supposed to sl st at the end of each round cause I just sl st at the beginning when the pattern said to and at the end of the square before fastening off.

I was wondering what people are making with their squares. I'm making an afghan and I know there's at least a couple others who are making afghans also. Is there anyone who's making something else with the squares besides a afghan?
