Chicago Blackhawks pattern
Hello Everyone!
I saw a pattern for a Chicago Blackhawks afghan
and it was nice but not as intricate a pattern as mine.
I made this one for my oldest son.
It's the size of a full size bed.

Being born and raised in Illinois, I am a die-hard Chicago FAN!!!!! That blanket is fantabuloso!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You did a beautiful job. It should be a wall hanging instead of being used for the bed. Love it!!--Jan

Thanks
Thanks Cybarra, it was a lot work
and it got pretty heavy the bigger it got.
Irsihjl I made that blanket to be used
but my son has it stored away,
just like my son in law with his Marine blanket..
It's just me but I prefer
they actually use the things I make them.
Now... are you a Sox or Cubs fan?
We're strictly White Sox fans here
but I forced myself to make 1 Cub item,
a sunglass case. I shrunk the graph pattern for those.
I do have the pattern for the Cubs afghan too.

Mrs. P, I am a TOTAL die-hard Chicago Fan. Blackhawks, Cubs, White Sox, Bears and Bulls!!! My mother was from Chicago and a total sports fan. She got me hooked on Chicago as a kid and I have been a devout fan ever since. My father hated sports. When it was time for either the SuperBowl or the World Series, my mother would make a HUGE pot of vegetable soup or chili for anyone to eat whenever they wanted. Just DO NOT disturb her during the game!!!!!! My father would see the pot on the stove, look in it, and cry "OH NO!!! It's that time of year again!!!" Then he'd go hide out in the basement or go over to his friend's house for sympathy. My ex felt the same way. DO NOT disturb me during a game!--Jan
P. S. Thank you for the patterns.Last edited by Irishjl; 04-24-2013 at 12:05 PM.

Size
Do you remember how many stitches you added to make it the size of the full-sized bed?

Hi Anovak,
What I did before I started, I measured the bed then laid it out on graph paper
and I placed the pattern in the center.
I had to be careful I had the same amount of stitches on both sides.

Oh my goodness! Your work is so beautiful and intricate. I have not mastered the design challenge yet. I so would like to but am not sure of how to do the graphing to get the design to turn out. Maybe one day I will take the plunge. My grandson would like a sweater with a design so maybe I will have to get started on it.
