    Another Marine Corps pattern

I have this Marine Corp pattern I made for my son in law,
it's a more intricate design and it's really huge,
the size of a full size bed.

    Mrs P,

You are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern. Would you mind if I posted t on Ravelry with a link that directs them to here so that other people can make this? It took me a very long time to find a pattern that I loved and wanted to make. I made the blanket with a few changes and will be giving it to my son when he graduates boot camp in April. I added his name and the date he will complete the crucible and become a Marine. I can't wait to give it to him. I have also written up the pattern so if you would like me to share that then let me know. Take care and again your work is amazing.

Thank you Dorell, your afghan is just beautiful.
I know how much work was involved so you're quite the experienced crocheter.
Adding his name and date was awesome too!
You have my permission to repost this picture and link.
Have you seen my Blackhawks and White Sox blankets?
They weren't as intricate a pattern but still a lot of tedious work.
Did you add a backing to the backside? I sewed on a large piece of fleece
which hid a lot of the tails and I think protects the stitches.
    Awesome job Dorell!

    Mrs P,

Those are awesome. I didn't put a back on my afghan because I used a ton of bobbins and didn't carry the yarn on the back. You can see the EGA on both sides. It has been very difficult keeping them from tangling up but so worth it in the end. I have learned a lot doing this blanket. There are flaws in it that I'm sure I'm the only one that can see them so I am doing a second afghan with the fixes in it. It is about half way done and is looking amazing. This is the hardest project I have taken on. I wouldn't say I'm experienced just yet. I taught myself to crochet two years ago and wasn't able to crochet for over a year do to a back injury. But I have started again and it makes me so happy. Thanks again for the beautiful chart. I couldn't have done this without you.
