Nice to see someone else has replaced a doily from their past. I grew up with doilies in the house that my grandmother had made. I packed them away after I realized they were beginning to deteriorate. Then a year or so ago I took my favorite one out and copied it. I have never seen a written pattern for it, so I don't know what it is called, but it is more of a square within a diamond shape, then the corners are enlarged and rounded with picots around the edges. That is an awful description of it but the best I can do. I just always thought about my grandmother when I saw it and didn't want to loose her memory.
