I've always tried to look for the little bumps on the wrong side of the chain but this idea makes it so much easier, especially with some yarns (like that dratted ladder/ribbon yarn ).
Thanks, Landon!

Pat, you place your markers into the row so that they indicate to you which side is up.

See how I laid the chain down on my desk and placed the markers so it will hang right side up.
Does that make sense?
If not, I will take closer pics for you. Let me know!!!
Happy Crafting!
Landon

U use the crochet cast on as my first row, then cast off using my crochet hook. this gives e a good foundation. No twisting. this is of course if you know how to knit.

Hi, Diana, I am so glad you had a great trip!! The colours around here are beautiful too, but cold and wind is coming so they're expecting the trees to lose their leaves fairly soon here. Are you in Sandy's path? That storm that is headed your way? I am going to start a new thread about that to find out who could get affected by it.

Hi Landon, yes we are in the path of Sandy and we live about 15 miles from the Chesapeake Bay. Mu condo is on the ground level and I pray the drains will keep up with the water. I've lived her for 16 years and so far we haven't had any trouble. Will let you know how we are doing. I sold three more headbands. And I made 2 of those crazy earflap hats that the kids like. You take care and have a good day. Diana
