I really like this! So, I guess I'm just going to have to learn how to do the tunisian crochet. Question, do I have to get a long needle to do this or can I just use my regular sized crochet hook? (I may even be asking the wrong question) Suggestions or hints would be greatly appreciated! The thrill of trying something new keeps me going! <g>

    Hello,

I used the tunisian stitch for a cell phone holder and I used a regular hook. If you have a longer hook, it will probably be easier for you.

By the way, I though the tunisian stitch was really easy to do once you get the hang of what you are doing. I may also have to try this pattern when I get some time! I love the looks of this potholder and this type of stitch is "heavier - tighter weave."

I know! I think that's why this inspires me to try out this new stitch. Seems fairly simple, and I'm headed to Michael's this Sunday for a sale, so hope to pickup some Sugar n' cream cotton for this project. Also love the leaves you posted! Sooo many nice things and not enough time! Note to self, do Christmas gifts first! LOL

Barbara, the picture of the fall leaves for the skirt are beautiful, I went to the site, and it looks like it is Russian. Any idea on how to get a hold of the full pattern?
