My Very Favorite Ripple Pattern
I've made several afghans of all sizes using this super-easy pattern from Attic 24.

I have crocjeted more ripples than anything. Your ripple seems not as pointed as mine. Going to try your pattern.

I love the ripple pattern and it is super easy to do! I have made my daughter an afghan using the ripple pattern and she loved it! I am also making myself an afghan using the ripple pattern. I am making mine out of left over yarn I have used to make other gifts with. Did you make the afghan in the picture? It's so pretty.

Shelley, thank you. I have been having such a struggle with making a ripple pattern. The instructions on this site were easy to follow and clearly stated. Just have to remember the repetition of the stitches. Great site. Moralyn

ripple pattern
I have spent the better part of this weekend trying various patterns for the ripple. I can't seem to get the first and last stitches correctly. I have decided to wait for a better time to try again.
THIS IS THE BEST PATTERN SO FAR, not complicated at the beginning and ends. Thank you for posting it. I tried it this morning and still can't seem to get the stitches to line up. Now I know it is me, I will put this aside for now and try again later.
possibly I need a time when I'm alone and can give it my full attention.

Goldiebaco - Try making a small swatch with a few ripples first. It'll give you a chance to see how it comes out and you don't have to rip out long rows of stitches. Ripples don't usually look much like they're supposed to, at first. It's after you've done several rows and changed colors that you'll see the pattern of the ripples start to form.
Don't give up, I know you can do it.
