Hi pbjones -- I was thinking along those lines (making it for me) and I've downloaded the pattern. The pattern calls for using a thread and very small hook. Possibly by using a heavier yarn and larger hook, you could follow the same pattern and get an adult size. I'll let you know how that works out when I try it out. I would just want a sweater, not the whole dress.
