    Grandsons and Sports...

    Hello Ladies...
I have two Grandsons who each just turned 2.
It's so much fun to crochet them sports clothes,
their parents are super big sports fans.
Last year for their 1st birthday I crocheted them
    each a White Sox cardigan
and this year for their 2nd birthday
I crocheted them each a customized Chicago Blackhawks jersey!
I added their last names to the back along with their birthdate number.
I had to redo the Indian head logo several times until I was happy with it.
I thought they came out cute and they're just big enough they
can wear them again next year.
    I don't have a particular pattern because
I used a couple patterns and modified alot.

Beautiful work -- I am jealous. I have been trying to get up the nerve to make a NY Yankee uniform for my little one but I am afraid that is beyond my ability

Your chrandchildren are very lucky to have you and your talent!

OMG, I am so impressed with your work. I only wish I were 1/2 as good as you. I can do a lot but I have never made up anything as wonderful as what you have done. You have such lucky grandsons. God bless you all! Take care and keep on hooking!!! Love, Betty Lynn

    White Sox Sweater pattern

Thank you Beatrice, all I can say is keep on crocheting,
the more you crochet the more you learn.
I love being challenged with difficult patterns.

jdgmar I have the pattern for the White Sox cardigan shown here
but I've made a few different sports teams using the same pattern.
It's the Birthday Baby Pocket Cardigan & Hat
at the Lion Brand Yarn Company,
for some reason it won't allow me to post the link here.

For the logos and team colors I just went online
and found several pictures and tried to copy them.

Thanks to Moogly for her alphabet tutorial.

Good Luck with the NY Yankees sweater, please post it here...

Judi thank you so much, I just love crocheting for the Grandkids....
