Hello from Colorado - Newbie to the site
Hi! I'm a grandma raising my 7 year old autistic grandson (since birth). He is in second grade and I love making little magnets for each child in the class for various holidays. I look forward to meeting you all and hopefully not only make friends but learn new easy things to make for the kiddos. I volunteer in school a lot and simply love it.

Hi Catdoll. It is a pleasure to meet you and thank you for your introduction and greeting. Are you a mom or grandmother? I see you live in NE not too far away from CO Have a very Merry Christmas or whatever holiday you may celebrate.

ColoradoGrandma,
Welcome to the group! It is a pleasure to have you on board! I am Barbara and I live in Oklahoma. I also have an autistic son who is now 17 years old.
Did you get a lot of snow where you live? I look forward to hearing more about your crochet projects.

Hi Barbi! Nice to know you We ended up with 12-14 inches of snow and 6 degree weather at night which made for really icy roads! How did you make out with that storm?
Right now I work on little magnets for my grandson's class. I made pumpkin faces for Halloween, Candy Cane Reindeer for Christmas and for Valentines I make a red heart with white edging and St. Patrick's Day a nice shamrock. I put magnets on the back. It keeps me busy watching TV and relaxing at night. I used to make afghans, baby blankets, mittens, scarves, baby outfits. Then there were the doilies but my eyes are not that good for that cotton thread anymore. I look forward to meeting people and hopefully getting some good ideas - simple and cute. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

ColoradoGrandma,
Hello - we received some snow, but it did not really stick. The ground was too warm, although it was very cold outside. My kids were disappointed at no snow on the ground the next morning. :0(
If you are able to post some of your magnets, I would love to see your creations. I look forward to hearing more about you!

Hello,
I am from Mass where it has been uncommonly pretty warm here for winter and so far no snow. My sister lives in Boulder Co though and told me she got about 2 feet of snow last week. I love the snow myself, but am a minority here. I have visited Colorado many times and love it there.
Welcome to the forum..I'm sure you will be glad you found it.
