thank you all for your a great welcome. I hope I have the name right..landon, the afghans were a push of all I have in me. I am very very UNTALENTED., yet I did sew blankets for my 1st 6 grandchildren...we lost 1 at a week old. then our newest baby girls I did nothing for but the reason is, I am a absolutely pathetic sewer, and I got worse everytime, and I hated it. So I decided to try crocheting. And the 1st thing I did was a potholder, actually 1, both granny squares, so I decided to make me a granny squar afhan for my bed, my thought was that maybe after a blanket, I would have the size of my crocheting would be more consistent...NOT!!!!! Anyway, a not so good report from my oncologist...they found something in my lungs, my Dr does not want to biopsy says he doesnt want to put me through it. So a cat scan every 6 months to watch for growth. Everyone we know is having a fit over his decision, we had them send the film or whatever it is to the oncologist at James Cancer at Ohio state univ that I had used as a second opinion be4., and they are in agreement. Sooo I decided I better get busy, so I worked about 18 hous , day and night to get them done for Christmas presents. believe me when I tell you they have flaws. A lot of them. I decided to go simpler, and have not even been succesful at making a lady bug potholder look good. Think I will go back to the wave ripple, I found a video for it that is awesome and have started 1. All my other grandkids..5 of them want 1 now, they are ages 3 to 7, LOL!! But slow I will go, and along the way I want to try fun stuff, and do things with u all. This has been excellent therapy for me emotionally as it keeps me doing something positve. And I do have a LOT to learn. So u all may see some questions that u think are crazy......Ty jeannie...and I might add, my RSD keeps me awake a lot at night with pain, so this helps, much better than playing facebook games as I did be4. And apologize in advance if a conversation stopsor I forget something, or seem confused, I take a lot of maedication.

Keep crocheting you will get better. Have faith in yourself. my mom has a growth in her lungs also that she has to have watched, but her pulmonary specialist says it scar tissue from her having chronic bronchitis. So it may be nothing to serious. Try to stay positive and know that god walks besides you at all times and carries you through the roughest of times. Prayers your way always.
Hugs
Erika
