Wink Thanks for all the warm Welcomes!

I just got back from doing some yarn shopping and realized that I knew squat . Tried to get 18 oz of one color and realized that wasn't the size of the yarn but how much I needed! Anyways, I am looking at making a simple woven blanket that I found in an extreamly old crochet book (Stitch by Stitch), looks simple and think I can wrap my mind around it. Anyways, don't feel like driving 45 minutes to a good yarn store that carries any "blulky" yarn and was wondering if anyone knew of a good realiable sourse on the computer that sells at a resonable price?? My walmart just carries 4 or 6..... Also looking forward to the new "monthly project"!!

    they are usually good,
but no doubt if you are the US then the others will be better for their fave places,

Thanks crochet*away, I'm US, and since my earlier rant I did more investigating on yarn gauges and hopefully will have an easier time finding what I need.

Thanks! I will head for the big city today and stop at hobby lobby or JoAnns I think to get my yarn..thanks for the Ideas I will keep the on line places in mind..I seen that Amazon sold some at really good prices, but was really limited in colors and hard to shop for the match and quanity, so gave up.. Have a good day Ladies!
