Hi.. my name is Jann, I'm from South Carolina but born and raised in Alabama. I learned to crochet watching a friend in 7th grade who was learning in Home Ec ( I was taking band). I pretty much taught myself and only learned to read patterns about 10-15 yrs ago (I'm 50 now, shhhh don't tell anyone). Anyway, I'm working on Christmas presents right now. Wish me luck.
