Spoula - Those dresses are fantastic! So pretty and terrific work.
Larisa - Your work (and patience) is phenomenal. It's irrelevant that you crochet from other's patterns. I've seen LOTS of work done from patterns that came out just awful, either because the person needs more expertise in crochet, they don't know how to follow directions, or the pattern was written poorly. But if you have your grandson with you, I can understand not having the time!

When you have a baby with you why take the time doing crochet when you can play with your grandson. They grow up too fast then you can't keep up with them.

The size 10 and sock yarn will give you very similar gage and would be softer. The 20 or 30 would require doing a swatch and then compare - count stitches and do the math to decrease the number of stitches, this will work with plain patterns not specific stiches needed patterns. Have fun!
