Hi to all members!
I am new to this site and would to introduce myself. Originally I am from Newfoundland and was blessed with a very crafty family...even my Dad was when retired from being a mechanic took up sewing which was strange to see him do but I was very proud of him. My Mother was an avid knitter and never followed a pattern in her life but I can honestly say that I never had a pair of store bought mittens when I was a kid and if I had lost one or had gotten all of my mittens all wet Mom would whip me up a pair in no time! I wish that I was even half of a knitter as she was.
I started knitting while in Brownies and never stopped knitting from a very young age but my interests have broadened out into making rag rugs and crocheting. So very thankful for all of the very talented folks on this site who have some wonderful and beautiful ideas and creations of all kinds and that is why I wanted to join this site because of all of you talented people you are truly an inspiration to everyone.
I love the idea that it seems that more and more young people are getting more and more crafty at a very young age.
Thank you for accepting me into this group and I look forward to sharing new ideas in the future!
