    Hello Crochet Talk

I have been crocheting since my boyfriend's grandmother taught me to add lace to handkerchiefs when I was in high school. That boyfriend is now my husband of 52 years. We have 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grands. A lot of people to crochet and knit for.
Looking a group that likes yarn and does not allow nastiness and bullying.

Thanks for the welcome. I have done a bit of filet. Mostly a baby blanket with teddy bears. Now I hear blankets with holes are dangerous so I do not make that pattern anymore.

I have a technique I use to make filet type patterns into HOLELESS blankets. By using two or three colors, makes for a unique piece.

I am working on the bedspread. What is wrong with holes? I have made many doilies and no one complained about holes...

Holes are wonderful for most things. Babies could get a finger caught. So some people are suggesting not to make baby items with hole. I think it is being overly cautious.
