Hello from New York City
Hi everyone,
I am so happy to have found this wonderful community. I have been knitting and crocheting for two years, and truly enjoy every moment. I work full time, so my down time is limited.
Right now, I am looking for a Native American pattern for an afghan. My daughter is starting university in September, and I would like to send her with an afghan made by me. Any suggestions for a pattern.
I am looking forward to "meeting" you soon.
All the best,
Joanne

Thanks so much, Barbara. These two afghans are exquisite. I like to take on challenging projects, and that is how I learn the best. I am looking forward to beginning one of these.
Larisa, so nice to meet you. My grandmother (from Italy) made such beautiful doilies, and I treasure them. They are so delicate and seem to be beyond my expertise at the moment. I hope to be able to crochet something so fine someday.
Happy crocheting,
Joanne

Hi Joanne! And welcome to the forum! I live about an hour north of Albany now, but I grew up in southern Dutchess county! The afghans that Barbra posted are beautiful! Let us know if you decide to make one of them!

Thanks for the welcome, Maryjane. I live in Manhattan now, but lived in Albany for two years. I have been doing more research into traditional Native American designs. As soon as I decide on one, I will definitely let you know. Hope you have a good weekend.
