Barbara G: Lately all notes from CT come to my computer as spam and I have to mark them and say not spam. Not sure what I have done wrong. Do you have a clue? Thanks.

Spam is when you post things totally unrelated here in the forums for the purpose of gaining traffic to your site, mainly. Crochet and knitting sites are fine. If you are an active member and post a link in the general chat about a blog you have that is family friendly - this is not an issue and would not be considered spam.
Another form of spam would be to post the same message over and over to the point that it is aggravating to the members. Hope this helps you and don't worry you are doing just fine! :0)

been a while
Thank you for keeping the spam off of this forum. I haven't posted in a very long time but have been reading the newsletter everyday. I am still shy about using the site as I'm not familiar with all the workings. I really enjoy all the knowledge and wisdom of all you fine people. I have learned a lot from you all, thank you. I love crocheting and have been working on several different items (i.e. dishcloths, slippers. just started doll clothes for American Girl doll and taking an interest in doilies. Just not enough time in a day.

Spamming can also be posting the same message over and over again, even though it is a little different. It becomes bothersome in the forums and takes away from the "good feeling of community within the forum."
Usually, spam will be posting for advertisements and the person signing up will not be there for the purpose of being a real "member" of the group. Hope this helps in understanding!

That's what I figured it was after I realized I was not logged into your site.
