Why would they say that isn't cornbread? That is how I use to make it. I bet it is the sugar in it, most people don't want sugar in it, But I do.. Now my recipe is a Box of "Jiffy" cornbread mix.. Yes you have to have that butter on it.

Right now, I'm thawing chicken to make baked chicken along with squash and mixed veggies. Hawaiian rolls will be the bread. I can hardly wait for dinner time! What are you having for dinner today?

I'm thawing bean soup! Dan made his bean soup. What was left, we froze. So I'm thawing that out, and he can have that for dinner. We have to empty one of our freezers. So that is what he is getting. He loves it. I don't. What do I know!?
Meerkat, you're right. Now that I heard you say it, it is the sugar that they don't like in the cornbread.
Hugs, Judy

I LOVE tomato sandwiches. I used to have an elderly neighbor who always had a garden. When her tomatoes were ripe, I would find a bag of warm, fresh tomatoes on my porch, fresh from the ground!!! My husband would find me, at 5am, eating a tomato sandwich while standing over the sink with the juice running down my arms. Naturally, he had to have one also. Talk about HEAVEN!! Oh, the tomatoes she grew were beefsteak tomatoes, the best ones on earth!.--Jan

Here's today's dinner!!! Baked chicken, squash and mixed veggies! The package of Hawaiian rolls are just waiting to be opened. That piece in the upper right hand corner was marinated in garlic hot sauce---just for me!

Nothing too involved tonight, I have an early day at work tomorrow. I'm making shake 'n' bake chicken, green beans and Velveeta cheese mashed potatoes. If you have not tried those Velveeta potatoes, do, they are divine!
Happiness is a choice!
