Hi kitty jean! You have to know it is never the person on the outside that matters it is the person on the inside that matters! You sound like a very nice person struggling like the rest of us with FIBRO that makes us feel bad I hate everything about myself but my hubby always tells me it's just my FIBRO fighting me! Relax take a couple of breaths and start crocheting to get your mind off your thoughts! I'm definitely no beauty queen and wouldn't want to be! I rather be myself! LOVE YOUR FRIEND MANDA!

Thanks Manda, Just finished my second pair of slippers for my daughter and started on the third. She says a couple of her friends fell in love with the "elf " slippers I made for her. So her two friends get a pair and she gets a pair for herself. She named them "elf" because of the pointed front and back cuffs you can fold down or stand up for added warmth around the ankle. Sorry I was such a downer, just a really bad couple days. Thanks for the up beat. Later Gater. Kitty

Kiitty, hate the pain hate the disease, but love yourself. You are more than the sum of your aches and pains. You are a child of God and God don't make no JUNK!! Last week I could barely move and today is so much better. It will be better soon. Get lots of rest and eat something yummy. Be kind to yourself chatting with you brightens our day!

I agree with what has been said. Hate the pain, the illnesses, but love your self. We are each unique individuals, with similar but different stories. I lost 4 yrs of my SS Disability claim. Just had to let go. Had the judge sit there & say fibromyalgia was not a real diagnosis. The rheumatologist who diagnosed me died with cancer about 8 yrs before I got to a hearing. We have a shortage of rheumatologists around here. Florida is horrible. Already full of retirees, they don't want to give disability to anyone with a brain. If I was an alcoholic or addict, I'd have had it much sooner. That is the part that angers me so. Now I am to be reviewed every 24 mths because I might improve. Over the 6 yrs I was waiting on them, I got worse. I have gotten worse the older I get. I do not see that changing.
Hugs, Jane

That was excellent Jane right on the spot! You sound like me really P.O. at the system I always wish there is something all of us together could do to change this! I am so sure their are many women out there with this and are in the same situation as we are! Honey it feels good to get that off your chest and vent! LOVE YOUR FRIEND MANDA!

My husband was lucky he didn't get turned down, he got it when he first applied, but the Dr who did his colostomy' wrote a long detailed letter about his problems to SSD plus his Pain Management specialist wrote a letter to them. and his family Dr wrote them, that there was no way he could ever go back to work. He is the only person I know of that didn't get turned down the first time.. Everyone said we might have to apply 3 or 4 times and also get a lawyer. Within 3 months he had his first check, so don't give up.
I have heard from people that a lot of Dr don't believe there is such a thing as Fibro, it is a shame they don't get it themselves, maybe they will know what you are all going through..
I wonder if only women get it?
