How awful! But I'm really glad you are OK! It is such a hastle to replace everything! Sorry you have to go through all that!! Grab some yarn and a hook and crochet for awhile! Should help you feel safe for a little while anyway!! Will be hoping you stay safe!

Thanks for your support. I am ever so grateful that the thief didn't take my yarn!!!!! That would upset me even more...although I could start my collection over again...give crochetgal some business :-D

Great Googleymoogley, Joyce! I really mean it when I say all that pales in comparison to what could have been the outcome. I AM SO GLAD *YOU* ARE SAFE & WELL!!!!
Maybe I've read too many true crime books but your description of the circumstances of the theft gave me chills. It'll be a pain to take care of all the crap that needs taking care of but you're one tough lady. To paraphrase Rosie the Riveter, you can do it! :-)
Um, you might ask SS and/or the CC companies about how to protect yourself from identity theft if you haven't already...
Take care & be safe. I luv ya!

Glad that your ok.. It could have been worse.. scarry..I was robed back in Feb, but it was a summer cabin we have. ( It took the cake when they even took our freezer and meat off the back porch) What happened to you was much worse. I thank the good lord that you are safe.

Are there chains on the door? You know, the kind where you can only open the door 6 inches to see who's on the porch? If installed correctly with long screws they're pretty sturdy. I like to leave my front door ajar for fresh air and ALWAYS have the chain on.
Hope you're getting your Zen back

LOL Anasia! Potentially, a crochet hook could poke someone in the eye...and I'd get arrested for brandishing a lethal weapon.
