I'm definitely not a southerner but have made dandelion wine. I used a recipe from a pioneer cookbook....gathered a gallon jar full of dandelion heads & have to say that took a long time.....when you don't want dandelions they are everywhere! To make a long story short.....the wine was gross!I prefer a very dry wine & the dandelion wine was anything but dry.

I am so LOLOL at yawl!! In my drinking days, I preferred Margaritas, Bailey's Irish Creme and Amber Bock beer. it was delicious!!
I have read Tristan and Isolde and just sobbed at the ending. I am not going anywhere near the movie. Has anybody read Where the Red Fern Grows? It is a beautiful story, just beautiful. I reread it every so often, but I stop cold at the last chapter, I just can't handle it.

I didn't want to insult anybody and call us mountain folk Hillbilly !! My husband was born on this mountain and we live right next door to where he grew up!! Does anybody eat the fiddle heads in the Spring??

I never had but I have heard of it. How do you decide which ones are good? Must have to be picked in the Spring. I told you guys that the dandelion wine was like cough medicine. Ya'll are going to listen to me one day!!! lol
